Terms of Service
Acceptance of Terms
By installing and using API Locker ("the Extension") or visiting apilocker.dev ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension or Site.
Description of Service
API Locker is a browser extension that allows users to store and manage API keys locally on their device using AES-256-GCM encryption. The Extension operates entirely on-device — no data is transmitted to our servers.
User Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for the security of your master password
- If you forget your master password, your encrypted vault cannot be recovered — we have no access to your data
- You are responsible for maintaining backups of your API keys through other means if needed
- Do not use API Locker to store keys for illegal purposes
No Warranty
API Locker is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your specific use case. Use at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, API Locker and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension, including but not limited to loss of API keys, loss of access to third-party services, or data breaches resulting from forgotten master passwords.
Intellectual Property
API Locker and its associated assets (logo, UI design, marketing materials) are proprietary. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without explicit permission.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
